Intensive Driving in Larkhall

Intensive Driving

Intensive Driving Courses & Lessons

Intensive driving courses, sometimes referred to as crash courses or fast-track courses, can be the best and most efficient way to pass your test as quickly as possible, sometimes as quickly as 1 to 2 weeks. It typically involves several hours each day with a break in the middle, every day for the duration of your course, hence the word intensive as that is exactly what it can be.

It’s important to ensure you find out how long your course will be upfront, and make sure that you can secure the free time to commit fully to the course without any distractions.

Intensive driving lessons can be expensive and might seem more expensive than normal lessons, but if you break it down into individual hour-long lessons, you’ll find that if you booked them all individually, it would add up to around the same cost, maybe a little more, but the long-term payoff is definitely worth it for most people.

If your aim is to pass and have your licence as soon as possible, then this is probably the best option available for you, there’s no other way to pass it this quickly.

What Are The Requirements?

To sit an intensive driving course in the UK, typically you’ll need a valid UK provisional licence, a valid theory, and you must be at least 17 years old. Although some courses might require you to have some prior driving experience, either with an instructor or family and friends, so it’s best to check before you book.

What Happens If I Fail?

First off, if you fail, don’t be too hard on yourself. The average pass rate in the UK is approximately 45-50%, so it’s important to set realistic expectations that there’s as much chance of people failing as there is of them passing.

With that said, if you do fail your test after sitting the intensive driving course, don’t worry too much, as you won’t have to pay for, or take the course again. All you’ll need to do is book another test, which will cost £62. Depending on how long you need to wait for your test, it could be a good idea to get a refresher lesson or two so you can work on the areas that caused you to fail your test and ensure you’re as fully prepared as you can be to take it again.
